EMEN - European Executive Development Network

The European Executive Development Network has been established in 1998 among a number of large, multinational corporations. By their senior HRD-professionals with the responsibility for development of the most senior ranking managers and executives. They use the network for exchanging views, information and experiences.
 
Aims EMEN Network
The EMEN Network aims to improve sustainable executive development at the highest levels of multinational corporations. Members share a drive to clarify and increase the added value of executive development as a vital part of sound and prosperous businesses and organisations.
 
Through exchanging best practices, inviting distinguished external experts and jointly addressing challenges and problems, EMEN has three main objectives:
1. supporting individual members with their personal performance and development,
2. providing the member organisations with substantial added value regarding executive development,
3. maintaining an on-line database with international executive courses.

EMEN Membership
The criteria by which members founded and joined EMEN are:
· truly multi-national organisations with
· longstanding track records in executive development & education, with a
· strong drive for global best practices and sophistication in HRD, and
· represented by seasoned professionals with global, corporate ED responsibility
 
Meetings
The network meets five times per year.On the agenda are subjects related to international executive development in the broadest sense of the word.
Many times, representatives of international business schools visit thew network meetings. In the recent past we welcomed the poresident or dean of: IMD, Insead, Ashridge, CCL, IESE, Henley, Cambridge and Michigan Business School.
Just recently we welcomed Tom Ryder (director Educational Technology Group Harvard Business School). He delivered a presentation on the virtues of infusing executive learning with a wide range of technologies aimed at improving the take home value, cost and time effectiveness of the traditional executive course.

The Network has been founded in 1998 by Wim Heine (Sara Lee), Jan Versteeg (ABN-AMRO), Ahold (Han van der Pool), Wiebe Buising (Heineken) and Rino Schreuder (EMD). Since its foundation, Rino Schreuder chairs the network and its meetings.
